We’ve all had that feeling.
To pack our bags and hit the road.
Here’s a sample of content writing I did for a travel agency based in the States that runs South American tours:
On Day 3, board a train to the tranquil town of Lujan. It’s a sacred destination for the host of followers that make the pilgrimage each year to the Basilica of the Virgin of Lujan. Then after a delicious lunch, make the leisurely return trip back to Buenos Aires.
It’s full steam ahead the following day. Travel by metro and provincial train to La Plata, 60kms away. Bask in the beauty and culture of the city on a guided tour as you gain some local insights with visits to the Cathedral, the government administration building and the Natural History Museum.
Then after a full day of sightseeing, relax on the Pullman sleeper train and take some time to reflect on the sights seen as it rambles its way south to Bahia Blanca overnight.
Days 5 & 6: Arrive in Viedma and Sea Lions in Punta Bermeja
Awake to a new day in Bahia Blanca. After stretching the legs from the train journey, take a bus trip and admire the grandeur of the Rio Negro while meandering along to Viedma; don’t forget to take in the sights of the rocky cliffs on the banks of the river.
After checking into the hotel and taking a rest, explore the rustic Carmen de Patagones on an organized tour. Then cap off a perfect day by being treated to some local hospitality with a Patagonian dinner combined with great company.
On Day 6, travel to Punta Bermeja where sea lions await. Animal lovers will delight in their playful nature and stunning environment. Then sit back and watch the scenery, chat with newly-made travel companions or take a siesta during a bus journey to Puerto Madryn, arriving in the evening. Take some well-deserved rest after checking into the hotel.
Days 7-8: Visit the Peninsula Valdes wildlife and transfer to Bariloche
Marvel at the diversity of marine life at Peninsula Valdes, the next destination. Visit sea elephants and sea lions in their natural habitat, wait for a glimpse of the majestic whales or observe the beauty and grace of the birdlife.
After travelers have feasted their eyes on some of Mother Nature’s wonders, they can treat their taste buds to lunch then return to the hotel in Puerto Madryn.
On Day 8, enjoy a scenic bus journey from Puerto Madryn to Viedma. Breathe in the salty air while traveling along the Gulf of San Matias.
When twilight draws near, it’s time to board the sleeper train to San Carlos de Bariloche.
